German Army Dust Protection Glasses – (Augenschutzer 42).
Mass produced in two types, either clear or the darkened sun protection type on offer here. They were quite popular and saw action in all theatres during WW2.
The goggles are constructed from foldable darkened plastic lenses, held together with three, vertical stitched, ribbed field-grey rayon/ cotton strips with trimmed black velvet edges to the lenses for comfort.
The case containing the goggles measures approx. 8 x 11cm. In good/ unissued condition.
