1908 Pattern British Cavalry Troopers Sword, in it’s original steel scabbard. Overall length approx. 43.1/2 ins., blade length approx 35.1/4 in. Single edged straight steel blade with double fullers. Blade to a shiny silver finish with a few dark old rust speckles to both sides. The ricasso stamped to one side “WILKINSON” the other side “11 ’17” along with various inspection marks. The one piece steel knuckle bow, pommel cap etc., also to a shiny steel finish with some slight surface pitting/ wear and a few traces/ specks of khaki paint throughout. The shaped dermatine or milar plastic grip coloured black with minor age/ wear scuffs. The steel scabbard has slight surface pitting throughout and to a shiny steel finish.
Overall a nice original sword in good overall condition comensurate with age.
